  • Trusted Installers
    - Using this feature the user can allow selected installers and updates to run outside of BufferZone.
    - This allows Trusted applications to be installed or updated properly outside of BufferZone, even if they usually run inside BufferZone.
  • Improved Anti-Keylogging capabilities
    BufferZone now provides better protection against key logging.

    This version includes a remote session tool which improves our ability to troubleshoot issues on customers' machines.
  • Windows Vista 32 bit - Release Candidate
    BufferZone version 3.10 works with Windows Vista 32 bit. This current version of BufferZone includes better compatibility with Windows Vista and is considered a Release Candidate version.

    BufferZone version 3.0 Beta works with Windows Vista 32bit. This current version of BufferZone is compatible with the User Account Control (UAC) feature of Windows Vista.

 

Version 3.0

This is a major version which includes Windows Vista 32 bit support, few bug fixes and some new features.

New features


  • Windows Vista 32 bit support - Beta
    BufferZone version 3.0 Beta works with Windows Vista 32bit. This current version of BufferZone is incompatible with the User Account Control (UAC) feature of Windows Vista.
  • Web Privacy
    Web privacy features allows the user to define a list of addresses that, by default, run outside of BufferZone (i.e. without protection). This allows the user to create a white-list of addresses (such as eBanking, internal corporate resources etc.) that will be browsed outside of BufferZone therefore separated from the untrusted environment inside BufferZone. The features works only with Internet Explorer (6 or higher).
  • Icons of protected applications
    Icons of protected applications and files inside BufferZone will no longer show a red border around them. They will be marked as protected by the BufferZone icon at their bottom-left corner.


Version 2.70

This is a maintenance version which includes few bug fixes and improves performances and product security.

New feature


  • Create and restore BufferZone snapshot
    This function allows the user to create a backup of all contents of the virtual repository and restore them in a future time. The backup contains all applications installed inside the BufferZone, all registry information and all files saved inside the Virtual repository.
