Keystrokes not recognized in Firefox running on VMWare

I installed BufferZone Pro on a VM (VMWare Workstation 6.5) running Windows XP. IE 8 works fine running under BZ, but Firefox 3.6.16 does not recognize any keystrokes when it is running under BZ. I suspect this has something to do with the way VMWare handles the keyboard input, but I'm not sure how to resolve it. Has anybody seen this problem before and is there a setting change I can make to get it to work?
