| Trustware named by Microsoft and TheMarker as one of 10 Hot Start-ups of 2006 |
TEL AVIV, 31 March 2006, Trustware Ltd., developer of BufferZone security software, is one of ten young technology companies named by Microsoft and TheMarker (themarker.com) as among Israel's most promising start-up companies for 2006.
"That's a real mark of achievement given that the Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute estimates that there are 2,500 start-up companies in Israel." says Israel Baharav, Trustware's Chief Executive Officer.
BufferZone uses a revolutionary approach to defense against malicious code that never, ever requires updates. It prevents all viruses, Trojan horses, spyware and unwanted cookies - even those not yet recognized by traditional antivirus software - to be written to disk. By isolating unauthorized programs and files, BufferZone prevents these invaders from damaging computers and destroying or transmitting information, while entered programs can be safely run within it.
This approach lets BufferZone provide comprehensive zero-day protection without using attack signatures and updates. It provides complete operating system, application and data protection from all possible threats forever while maintaining compatibility with all known antivirus programs.
BufferZone is available in several versions, including a freeware version that protects against downloads from any single application. Versions that protect against downloads from all applications are available for home and laptop use, for offices and servers, and for critical systems.
TheMarker is a business daily produced in print and online by Ha'aretz (Haaretz.com), Israeli publishing partner of the International Herald Tribune.
