New antivirus Saves Need for Signature Updates
Israeli company BufferZone Labs has recently launched its BufferZone program to the Israeli SMB market. The program protects against hostile code by employing a new technology that secures computers by using a buffer zone, a dynamic virtual world.

Existing antivirus products work by comparing blacklists containing hundreds of thousands of virus signatures, and when a new virus appears, defense against it is possible only after the virus has spread and damage has been caused BufferZone eliminates the need to identify each virus as well as the need to perform updates because from the get-go it blocks the Trojans and worms by classifying them by default as dangerous.

Security experts at Avnet conducted intensive tests on BufferZone per defined attack scenarios and found that the program provides the most effective response to various attempted infection scenarios. The program provides an answer to threats of damage by malicious code, similar to widely available antivirus programs and in addition to threats also defends against future threats such that in fact this is a significant technological breakthrough.
